ABOUT THE PROJECT
OUR KEY OBJECTIVES ARE1) to give students insight into our history and heritage through learning about inventors and innovators in history and nowadays, and then use this newly found knowledge in creating their own idea which would be innovation on the market and the basis of a business endeavour
2) to teach our students that it is possible to use your own creativity and initiative to turn life troubles (recession, rising unemployment rates) into new opportunities 3) to reinforce other key competences such as creativity, problem solving and teamwork and core competences such as ICT and communication skills (including practicing English and other foreign languages) that help transcend geographical barriers and promote the mobility of ideas, services and personnel 4) to make our students competitive on the job market 5) to teach our students how to recognize a possible innovation by exposing them to examples of national and European inventors and innovators, taking them to school trips where they would experience similar stories firsthand, teaching them basics of entrepreneurship and marketing, and developing their critical-thinking skills 6) to guide our students through stories of failure and success when it comes to using innovation and invention as a basis of a business or creating a brand 7) to teach our students that inventing something isn't only a purely creative act but the process demands much more than a vision – it requires previous knowledge and new information, the ability to observe, analyze, and identify problems, and the use of critical-thinking skills to find appropriate and workable solutions 8) to set up a bridge among the partner schools by displaying the profile of schools, cities and regions or by exchanging information about cultural heritage referring to the inventors and innovator of each country or by working and travelling amongst people from different cultures. This kind of cooperation will allow our students to discover the diversity of EU cultures and be more socially aware and open-minded. |
